Scott R. Cleere, Idaho 2000, has joined the Madison office of Lathrop & Clark LLP. While Cleere is not yet admitted to practice law in Wisconsin, he is currently licensed to practice law in Idaho and has been registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office since 2005.

His practice focuses on patent, trademark and copyright law.

Benjamin A. Campbell has joined the Madison office of Lathrop & Clark LLP as a registered patent agent. He has been registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office since 2007. His practice focuses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of fields, including electrical and mechanical systems.

DeWitt Ross & Stevens announced the addition of Peter J. Manghera to the Intellectual Property Group in Madison.

Manghera’s practice focuses on preserving and exploiting investments in technology by obtaining patent protection for inventors and counseling businesses in the area of patent law.

Manghera received his J.D. degree from University of Wisconsin Law School.

The firm also announced that as of April 1, 2008, Madison attorney, Megan A. Senatori has become a partner in the firm.

Senatori concentrates her practice on complex civil litigation and appeals, including commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters on behalf of policyholders.

Senatori received her law degree from University of Wisconsin Law School.

The law firm of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. announced that the American Bar Association has named the firm as an Eco-Challenge Partner. Godfrey & Kahn is the 38th out of 50 firms across the country and the only firm in Wisconsin to receive this distinction.

The ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have designed a program to encourage law offices to take simple, practical steps to become better environmental and energy stewards. The program encourages law firms to reduce the amount of paper used and increase recycling, increase the use of renewable energy, and reduce electricity use by 10 percent. Godfrey & Kahn is certified in the “Best Paper Practices” category and is working toward other certifications.

The Madison office of Michael Best & Friedrich announced that Dean Stange has joined the firm.

Stange is a partner in the wealth planning practice group. He was most recently a shareholder of Murphy Desmond S.C. and has represented clients in the areas of estate planning, probate, small business transactions and real estate. He assisted clients in basic and advanced estate planning, including the preparation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, marital property agreements and gift and estate tax planning.

Stange is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School.

William J. Katt has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. Katt is a partner in the firm of Leib & Katt, LLC and has been practicing in this city for 29 years. He graduated from Marquette University School of Law.
