ImageHall Render, the national health law firm with an office in Milwaukee, ranks as the third largest health law firm in the country, according to Modern Healthcare magazine. The national weekly trade publication released its 2008 list in its most recent issue.

The annual ranking is based on the number of attorneys practicing healthcare law. From six offices in four Midwest states, Hall Render employs 133 attorneys who represent healthcare organizations from coast to coast.

Two Wisconsin judges have been selected by the State Bar of Wisconsin Bench and Bar Committee to receive awards recognizing the exceptional contributions they have made to their communities and the justice system. The Honorable Neal P. Nettesheim will receive the bar's “Lifetime Jurist Achievement” award and the Honorable Fred Fleishauer will receive the “Judge of the Year” award at the State Bar of Wisconsin's Annual Convention in May.

Judge Nettesheim, who was Wisconsin's second-longest sitting judge at the time of his retirement last year, was in private practice from 1966 to 1975, when he became a Waukesha County Judge. He served as a Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge from 1978 to 1983, when he joined District II of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. He served as Chief Judge from 1990 – 93.

Judge Fleishauer, who has served on the bench since 1981, was praised by his peers as a model of integrity, patience and respect in all of his contacts with attorneys, other county personnel and persons appearing in his courtroom. Judge Fleishauer was also instrumental in bringing new technologies into the courts to improve services and is widely recognized for the efficiency and professionalism of his courtroom.

The Schroeder Group, S.C., Attorneys at Law announced that Cindy L. Fryda has joined the firm.

Fryda has four years of experience providing counsel in the labor and employment areas of law. She began her career in a boutique labor and employment law firm where she focused on Family Medical Leave Act and discrimination issues. Most recently, she worked within a $3.5 billion publicly traded company developing practical solutions to a wide range of employment and labor law issues.

The law firm of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. announced that Donsia Strong Hill has joined the firm as a shareholder with the Corporate Practice Group. She practices out of the firm's Milwaukee and Green Bay offices, and provides bond and underwriter's counsel services to municipalities, housing authorities, investment banking houses, developers and redevelopment authorities. She also assists in the financial sector of Indian Nations work.

She received her law degree from John Marshall Law School.

Dahlberg Przybyla Law LLC has announced the addition of Katharine M. (Chlupp) Jaeger to the firm. Jaeger is a general practitioner whose areas of focus include: estate planning, trusts, probate, civil litigation and family law.

Jaeger graduated from Marquette University Law School.
