ImageAttorney Christopher Krimmer of Balisle & Roberson, S.C. has been recognized by the AIDS Network as the 2007 Volunteer Attorney of the Year. He also received the 2007 Executive Director's Award in recognition of his support of the AIDS Network.

Axley Brynelson Government Relations, LLC announced that Andrew J. Engel has joined the firm as its newest senior government relations advisor.

Prior to joining Axley, Engel served as chief of staff for Senate Majority and Minority Leader Judy Robson, where he acted as the Majority Leader’s main point of contact for the Governor, legislators and key officials. Prior to the working in the Senate, Andrew served as political director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and as Deputy Director for the Wisconsin Victory 2004.

The Schroeder Group, S.C., Attorneys at Law announced that Mike Steinhafel has joined the firm as a shareholder.

Steinhafel has a diverse background in general corporate and commercial litigation, personal injury, divorce and white-collar criminal matters which spans over 19 years.

He began his career as an Assistant district attorney for Milwaukee County and has since tried approximately 175 cases before the circuit court, court of appeals, Wisconsin Supreme Court and federal courts.

Jacob J. Musson, a 2007 graduate of Hamline University, has joined Davczyk & Varline as an associate. He joins partners Terrance E. Davczyk, Daniel W. Varline, and Spencer E. Davczyk as well as associate Todd J. Koback.

Stafford Rosenbaum LLP has announced that Tom Aquino has joined the firm as a senior associate attorney in its Madison office. Aquino's practice focuses on general commercial and civil litigation.

Aquino practiced the previous five years in Boston, MA. He is a graduate of Cornell University and Boston College Law School.

Aquino is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and Massachusetts.

The law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Renae Waterman Aldana, an attorney with the firm, was recently elected president of the Wisconsin School Attorneys Association. The group comprises of attorneys serving as legal counsel for members of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards. Aldana previously served the association as a board member and president-elect.

Aldana focuses her practices in the areas of labor and employment and school law.

Aldana earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
