Foley & Lardner LLP announced that Anne E. Ross succeeds Michael G. Laskis as managing partner of the firm’s Madison office. Laskis steps down after serving as office managing partner for 11 years and will continue as a member of the firm’s Commercial Transactions & Business Counseling Practice.

Ross serves as legal counsel to public and private companies in a wide range of technology and financial services industries. She has had extensive experience handling mergers and acquisitions, distribution and licensing arrangements, private debt and equity financings and strategic partnerships.

Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. announced that attorney Rhonda M. Matthews has joined the law firm’s litigation team, where she will primarily focus on defending businesses and their insurance companies against liability and negligence claims. She graduated cum laude in 2002 from Suffolk University Law School.

The firm also announced the addition of attorney Lia E. Moeser to its corporate practice. Moeser earned her law degree in May from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

The firm has hired Michael F. Moore for the newly created role of Director of Recruiting and Integration. Moore’s focus will be on the expansion and integration of the firm’s legal practice teams, implementation of strategic growth initiatives, as well as associate and paralegal evaluation and development. He earned his law degree from Lewis & Clark School of Law.

Frank H. LoCoco has joined the firm’s Litigation Department, where he will practice principally in the areas of product liability litigation and risk avoidance. He is a 1986 cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison.

The law firm of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. announced that P. Duncan Moss has joined the Environmental and Energy Practice Group in the firm’s Madison office. Moss received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law school.

Krisstina L. Ebner has joined the Business Practice Group in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Her practice will focus on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. Ebner received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Marquette University Law School.

C. Wade Harrison has joined the Labor & Employment Practice Group in the firm’s Madison office. Harrison received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan has expanded its Environmental Team in its Milwaukee office:

Benjamin C. Grawe, formerly with DeWitt Ross & Stevens, S.C., where he was an associate in their Madison office, and a 2000 graduate of Vermont Law School.

Heather A. Davis, former attorney in the environmental law department of Haynes and Boone, LLP in Houston, Texas, and a 2003 graduate of the University of Texas Law School.

Jesse Paul Padilla, who previously served as assistant counsel in the Allstate Insurance Company Protection Legal Advisory Services Division of the Law and Regulation Department, and is a 2004 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Virchow, Krause & Company, LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of several individuals. Promotions within the State and Local Government team include:

Angel Cannon, Paul Frantz, Patrick Kirsenlohr, and Timothy Miles to Senior Accountant, and Irina Myaskovsky and Andrew Siebert to Manager.

Promotion within the Dealership team includes Jessica Kawczynski to Manager.

The Waukesha law firms of Brewer & Cahill LLP and Schober Schober & Mitchell S.C. have merged.

The new law firm will retain the name Schober, Schober & Mitchell.
