01-2536-CR, 01-2537-CR State v. Vang

Listen to this article

John Vang appeals an order denying his motion to modify his sentence. Vang challenges the circuit court’s exercise of sentencing discretion. Vang also broadly attacks the manner in which circuit courts exercise sentencing discretion and the manner in which appellate courts review circuit court sentencing. The Court of Appeals, however, is constrained to follow established case law.

We conclude the court properly exercised its discretion and, therefore, affirm the order.
