Gary Ranum appeals a judgment of conviction for driving while under the influence of an intoxicant, first offense. He contends the trial court erroneously exercised its discretion in denying his request for a continuance of the trial so that he could obtain counsel.

We conclude the trial court did not erroneously exercise its discretion and therefore affirm.
