Listen to this article

Ernest Burton appeals from a judgment entered after a jury convicted him of robbery – use of force, and habitual criminality. Burton also appeals from the trial court’s order denying his postconviction motion. Burton argues that he was denied effective assistance of trial counsel. Burton also argues that the trial court erred in denying his postconviction motion without holding a Machner evidentiary hearing.
