Alphonso L. Robinson appeals from a judgment of conviction and an order denying postconviction relief. The issues on appeal are: whether the prosecutor engaged in improper cross-examination and improper closing argument, whether the trial court erred in giving the jury instruction on flight, and whether the trial court misused its discretion when it sentenced Robinson to 100 years. We resolve these issues against Robinson since we conclude that errors, if any, were harmless. Finally, Robinson argues that he is entitled to a new trial in the interests of justice. We also affirm on this issue because Robinson has failed to demonstrate that this is an exceptional case warranting this court’s exercise of its discretionary authority to reverse the underlying judgment. This opinion will not be published.
