The Wisconsin Department of Justice on Friday settled its lawsuit against Green Bay concrete and aggregate contractor Triple P Inc., Green Bay, and James O. Peters Sr.

An Illinois resident who illegally filled wetlands during three separate years in Oneida County has agreed to pay $30,000 plus the cost of environmental restoration, the Wisconsin Department of Justice announced Monday.

The Platteville Golf and Country Club will pay $12,000 for the grading and filling of a streambed and wetlands without obtaining a permit from the state Department of Natural Resources, according to a news release from Attorney General’s J.B. Van Hollen office.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen on Friday announced Progressive Rail Inc., and its Wisconsin Northern Railroad division, must pay $49,000 in forfeitures, assessments, costs and fees for violating Wisconsin’s storm water and wetland protection laws, according to a news release from the Attorney General’s office.

Suamico property owner David Blohoweak has been ordered to pay $12,000 in forfeitures, assessments, costs and fees for illegally filling wetlands and building an artificial pond on the bank of a navigable stream without any permits from the Department of Natural Resources, according to a news release from the Wisconsin attorney general’s office.
