Milwaukee County should settle a lawsuit brought by a former House of Correction employee who claimed she was fired due to her mental health issues, according to the Judiciary, Safety and General Services Committee.

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke and county officials are in dispute over who should pay more than $55,000 in private legal fees racked up as a result of an ongoing rift between the public official and the county.
