von Briesen & Roper announces the addition of two attorneys: Shareholder Bryan M. Becker and Associate James J. Wawrzyn.

Becker is a Shareholder in the Banking, Bankruptcy, Business Restructuring and Real Estate Practice Group. Becker concentrates his practice on commercial loan documentation, workouts, restructuring, commercial litigation and bankruptcy with a particular focus on foreclosure, collections and commercial loans. He earned a J.D. in 1998 from Marquette University.

Wawrzyn joined the Business Practice Group. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions, equity financings, general corporate practice, and commercial contract negotiation and drafting. Wawrzyn earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Marquette University in 2006.

Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek announces the addition of several attorneys to its Milwaukee and Madison offices.

Milwaukee office: Erik Eisenmann is a member of the Labor & Employment Team. He earned his J.D., with high honors, from The George Washington University Law School.

Michael Gosman is a member of the Business Restructuring, Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Team and the Public Finance Team. He earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.

Yousuf Khan is a member of the Taxation Team. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Alisha K. Bull is a member of the Intellectual Property Team. She earned her J.D. from The John Marshall School of Law.

Lindsey Johnson is a member of the Corporate Transactions & Business Acquisitions Team and also works with the Litigation and Environmental Law teams. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Marquette University Law School.

Michael L. Bohn is a member of the Business & Commercial Finance and Corporate Transactions & Business Acquisitions teams. He earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Kathryn M. West is a member of the Environmental Team and has been closely connected to brownfield redevelopment issues as a Commissioner on the Redevelopment Authority for the City of Milwaukee for nearly 15 years. She earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School.

Madison office: Matthew Rutlin is a member of the Corporate Transactions & Business Acquisitions Team where he works with a variety of businesses to assist them in a wide array of corporate and organizational matters. He graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Former U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will join the Marquette University Law School faculty as visiting professor of law beginning the spring semester 2011, the university announced. Feingold completed his third term in the U.S. Senate Jan. 3.

Feingold will teach an elective course, “Current Legal Issues: The U.S. Senate,” to upper-level law students. He is an honors graduate of both Oxford University and Harvard University Law School. He practiced law for six years with two Wisconsin law firms, Foley & Lardner and LaFollette & Sinykin. Feingold served for 10 years in the Wisconsin Senate and 18 years in the United States Senate, where he was a member of the Foreign Relations, Intelligence, Budget and Judiciary Committees.

Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren announces that the Wisconsin-based law firm has opened a new office in Phoenix to better serve clients in Arizona and the Southwest.

The three Reinhart attorneys leading the Phoenix office are John A. Erich, a shareholder in the Real Estate and Business Law Practice Areas; William (Will) Invie Shroyer, a shareholder in the Real Estate, Banking and Finance, and Business Law Practice Areas; and William F. Flynn, the chair of the Banking and Finance Practice Area. All three will continue to serve their existing client base in Wisconsin.

The DRI (Defense Research Institute) has elected Godfrey & Kahn attorney Douglas Poland as Vice Chair of the DRI Toxic Torts & Environmental Law Committee.
