Kate Scoptur
Director of Client Relations, Axley Brynelson LLP
When you’re the sole member of the marketing department for a 50-plus lawyer firm, you have to be energetic, organized and ready to tackle any new project that comes your way.
That aptly describes Kate Scoptur, of Axley Brynelson LLP in Madison.
Attorney Jodi Shields Yin says, “The list of Kate’s accomplishments and efforts goes on and on. She works more hours than most of us, and her hard work has paid off for Axley time and time again.”
Scoptur came to the firm in 2008, and among her first achievements was to lead a campaign to bring the firm’s attorneys on board with one of that year’s biggest marketing developments: online social media. Now most of Axley’s lawyers are active on Facebook and Twitter, and can point to numerous examples of business directly attributable them.
A more recent highlight for Scoptur was planning a party last April with over 500 attendees — clients and other friends of the firm — at the Overture Center to celebrate the firm’s 125th anniversary.
While Scoptur joined the firm as a marketing coordinator, her present title is Director of Client Relations, which reflects the firm’s client-centric focus, she explains. Without them, the firm would not have it lengthy and rich history, nor would it be anticipating the next 125 years — or more — of service and success.
