Walker appoints Outagamie County prosecutor to bench

Gov. Scott Walker has appointed the top prosecutor in Outagamie County to the bench.

Walker announced Monday that he has chosen Outagamie District Attorney Carrie Schneider to serve out the remainder of Outagamie County Circuit Court Judge Michael Gage’s term. Gage is retiring.

Schneider, who graduated rom the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1998, has been district attorney for the county since 2003. She lives in New London with her husband and two children.
