Focus: Abuse of Discretion – Motion Denial

Dennis Mitchell appeals judgments convicting him of soliciting prostitution and attempted kidnapping. He also appeals an order denying his postconviction motion. Mitchell argues: (1) the circuit court should have granted his motion to sever trial on the two charges; and (2) the court improperly exercised its discretion by ordering Mitchell to register as a sex offender. We affirm the judgments and order.
