OCONTO, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors have agreed to defer charges against an 84-year-old woman who was behind the wheel in a crash that killed her husband and two others in Oconto County.

WLUK-TV reports that there are conditions attached to the agreement, which will drop Thelma Yashinsky’s charges if she complies.

Yashinksy must not commit a crime for three years, must not drive a vehicle outside a two-mile radius from her home and must provide a letter from her physician twice over the next two years stating there aren’t any medical reasons she shouldn’t drive.

Prosecutors may re-open the case if Yashinksy fails to do any of those tasks within three years.

Court documents say Yashinsky drove through a stop sign Oct. 24, 2015, colliding with another vehicle. Her husband, 91-year-old Edward Yashinsky, along with 96-year-old Leora Raisler and 89-year-old Grace Hyland, were killed.
