Virtually all attorneys at the Milwaukee-based business law firm Weiss Berzowski will join the general-practice law firm von Briesen & Roper, also based in Milwaukee, von Briesen officials announced Monday.

Randall Crocker, president and chief executive of von Briesen, said in a news release that Weiss Berzowski attorneys and staff would officially join the ranks of von Briesen on Wednesday.

“The addition of these fine lawyers to our core practice areas enhances our proven level of expertise and cements our Wisconsin roots,” Crocker said in the release. “With these lawyers we will continue our traditions of value-added, cost-effective service focusing on a common sense approach to problem solving and to the practice of law.”

The merger with von Briesen means the attorneys at Weiss Berzowski will be able to offer more to their clients, said David Roettgers, managing partner at Weiss Berzowski.

“Being part of a statewide, larger law firm will expand the services we offer and allow us to grow our practices with both existing and new clients,” he said in the release. “The lawyers joining von Briesen are excited about this opportunity and our new colleagues.”

von Briesen is the sixth-largest Milwaukee-area law firm that serves businesses, institutions and individuals in Milwaukee, Madison, the Fox Valley and Waukesha County. The firm employs 153 attorneys statewide.
