The president of a personal-injury law firm will present an informant with a reward for providing police with information that led to the arrest of those connected with a Milwaukee girl’s death in 2014 from a drive-by shooting.
Michael Hupy of Hupy and Abraham will be presenting a $25,000 reward to the informant Wednesday afternoon in Milwaukee, according to a news release from the firm.
Hupy had announced the award to encourage the public to help the Milwaukee Police Department investigate the death of 5-year-old Laylah Petersen, who was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting as she sat on her grandfather’s lap in his living room. The man who will be receiving the reward identified Petersen’s two shooters and the driver of a getaway car. The man also helped officials pinpoint the man who sold guns to the shooters.
