WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) — A 16-year-old boy convicted in the fatal stabbing of a 13-year-old boy during a suspected gang confrontation in Wausau last year is being sentenced.
Dylan Yang was found guilty in March of first-degree reckless homicide in the killing of Isaiah Powell on Feb. 27, 2015. He faces up to 60 years in prison.
Yang testified during his trial, admitting stabbing Powell but saying he thought Powell had a real gun — not a BB gun.
The sentencing was scheduled for Wednesday morning in the Marathon County Courthouse.
