Walker appoints three trial court judges

Gov. Scott Walker has made three appointments to courts in Marathon, Kenosha and Door counties.

Walker has appointed attorney Gregory Strasser to the Marathon County Circuit Court bench to replace outgoing Judge Greg Grau, according to a news release. Grau resigned May 20.

Strasser co-founded Strasser & Yde SC in Wausau, where he has practice since 1997 as a civil litigator and mediator. He was also president of the Marathon County Bar Association from 2006 to 2007. He earned his law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minn.

Walker also has appointed attorney David Weber to the Door County Circuit Court Bench. Weber replaces Judge Peter Diltz, who retired May 11.

Weber is a Sturgeon Bay native and is a partner at Pinkerton Law Firm, where he has worked since 1992. He handles complex litigation cases involving a variety of areas of law, including, real estate, personal injury and family law. He earned his law degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Walker also announced Friday that he has appointed a solo practitioner to fill the vacancy on the Kenosha County Circuit Court bench left by Judge Michael Wilk, who died in March.

Jodi Meier, who lives in Salem, has practiced in the county for more than 25 years. In addition to handling criminal, civil and administrative cases, she is also a court commissioner and guardian ad litem.

Meier earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School.
