Milwaukee Bar Association hires new executive director

Listen to this articleThe Milwaukee Bar Association has hired a new executive director.
Sarah Martis took over the reins of the organization on Monday, according to a news release. Before her latest appointment, she worked as the director of client services for Association Acumen LLC, a Milwaukee-based firm that helps with the organization of non-profit groups. Martis has more than a decade of experience working with non-profit groups.
Martis studied international business and Spanish at St. Norbert College in De Pere. She is also a member of the Wisconsin Society of Association Executives and the American Society of Association Executives.
Martis takes the place of James Temmer, who stepped down as executive director of the Milwaukee Bar Association in January.
