The Milwaukee Bar Association will be recognizing several members of the legal community at its annual meeting.
The MBA will recognize the winners of its 2016 awards at its annual meeting and lunch, which will be held on June 14 at the Italian Conference Center, 631 E. Chicago St., Milwaukee, according to a news release.
Herman John, former deputy district attorney at the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, will receive the MBA’s Lifetime Achievement Award, which is presented to a member whose achievements in the practice of law and community service show excellence.
Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judges Carl Ashley and Mary Triggiano will receive the E. Michael McCann Distinguished Public Service Award, which is presented to members of the bar who exemplify outstanding public service and dedicate their careers to serving the public.
Maureen McGinnity, retired partner at Foley & Lardner, will receive the MBA’s Distinguished Service Award, which is given to a member of the bar whose service has supported and bettered the profession.
Also at the lunch, the oath of office will be administered to new board members and new officers. New officers include President Andrew Wronski of Foley & Lardner, President Elect Shannon Allen of Fox, O’Neill & Shannon, and Vice President Matthew Falk of Falk Legal Group.
New board members include Steven Bogart of Reinhart Boerner Van Dueren, Aaron Olejniczak of Andrus Intellectual Property Law and Kimberly Walker of the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee.
