Ex-Michael Best partner launching new firm

A former managing partner at Michael Best & Friedrich is launching a new firm.

Business and litigation attorney Mary Turke, a former partner at Michael Best’s Madison office who left in April, is opening a law firm with Seattle class-action attorney Samuel Strauss, according to a news release.

The firm, Turke & Strauss LLP, will represent employers, creditors, developers and startups. Rather than have physical office space, the firm will be cloud-based, matching clients with attorneys regardless of their location.

The firm opens Wednesday.

“I am excited to continue helping clients achieve their business goals, but with a leaner, more efficient platform,” Turke said. “So many talented lawyers leave big law firms each year. Turke & Strauss taps into this market and engages highly qualified lawyers on a project basis in their area of expertise.”
