NEENAH, Wis. (AP) — The man accused of taking hostages and exchanging gunfire with police at a Neenah motorcycle shop will stand trial in August.

A trial date was set for Brian Flatoff in Winnebago County Circuit Court on Monday. He’s facing 11 felony charges in connection with a standoff at Eagle Nation Cycles last December, including attempted first-degree homicide.

Flatoff also faces five felony charges for a disturbance at a Neenah home preceding the standoff. The confrontation led to the fatal shooting of hostage Michael Funk by police as he tried to escape.

Winnebago County Judge John Jorgensen scheduled a two-week trial to begin Aug. 22.
