Two federal juries for the Western District of Wisconsin have indicted an Oregon, Wis., man and two Mexicans on drug charges.
Arwin Lacey, 25, of Oregon, Wis., is charged with distributing cocaine, possessing cocaine with intent to distribute it, possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute it and using a gun to traffic illegal drugs.
He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison for each drug charge and a mandatory minimum penalty of five years for the gun, according to a news release Wednesday. The charges against Lacey result from an investigation by the Dane County Narcotics Task Force and Drug Enforcement Administration.
A federal jury on Wednesday also indicted Jesus Salazar-Martinez, 30, and Salvador Gonzalez-Vasquez for re-entering the United States after being deported. Salazar-Martinez was found in Sauk County on March 22. Gonzalez-Vasquez, also known as Placido Gonzalez-Hernanded, was found in Dane County on March 31.
If convicted, each face a maximum of 20 years in federal prison. The charges against them are a result of investigations from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Follow @erikastrebel
