MADISON — The two Wisconsin Supreme Court candidates are facing off again in a debate with less than three weeks to go before the election.

Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley and Appeals Court Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg will debate Friday at 7 p.m. on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, airing live on Wisconsin Public Television and Wisconsin Public Radio.

The race has been heating up this week, with both candidates launching ads and sparring at a Tuesday forum in Milwaukee.

In previous forums, Kloppenburg has criticized Bradley for anti-gay college writings and her ties to Gov. Scott Walker, who appointed Bradley to her seat on the Supreme Court. Bradley has apologized for the writings and has criticized Kloppenburg for bringing partisan politics into the race.

The election is April 5.
