DURAND, Wis. (AP) — A hunter who was beaten after wandering onto private property in Pepin County is suing his attacker.
WEAU-TV reports Kevin Elberg spent 10 days in jail and was ordered to serve two years of probation for misdemeanor battery in the November 2014 attack on Sao Vang. Prosecutors say the 44-year-old Elberg severely beat Vang after Vang was found on land owned by Elberg’s father.
The civil suit seeks a judgment from a jury.
