KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — Bond is set at $50,000 for a former Kenosha County Detention Center supervisor charged with sexually assaulting an inmate.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jonathan Kwiatkowski appeared in court Monday on the felony charges. The Kenosha News reports Kwiatkowski is accused of sexually assaulting a female inmate who was in the jail’s work release program.

Kwiatkowski resigned his position as a supervising officer at the jail last October during an internal investigation involving Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department policy violations. He had worked at the jail since 2009.

The complaint alleges Kwiatkowski sexually assaulted the woman in July when she came in to have her ankle monitor switched to her other leg.

He’s charged with second-degree sexual assault by corrections staff and misconduct in office. His attorney did not immediately return a phone call Monday.
