KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — An Illinois man who was driving drunk the wrong way on a southern Wisconsin highway is sentenced to eight years for causing a crash that killed a father and son.

Authorities say 36-year-old Brian Smith of Lindenhurst, Ill., was driving a pickup truck that struck a car and killed 52-year-old Paul Reese and 29-year-old Michael Reese, both of Lake Geneva, in December of 2014.

The Kenosha News reports Smith was traveling the wrong way on Highway 50 in Kenosha County when he hit the Reeses’ car. His blood alcohol content was 0.17.
