The Wisconsin Supreme Court is holding some of its oral arguments in Grant County.

As part of the court’s Justice on Wheels outreach program, which is designed to show people outside of Madison how the court works, attorneys in three cases will argue before the court Sept. 17 at the Grant County Courthouse, 130 W. Maple St., Lancaster.

Arguments will begin at 9:20 a.m., 10:50 a.m. and 1:50 p.m., according to a news release. Arguments for each case will last about an hour. The court will hear oral arguments for State vs. Lemere, Kenneth Burgraff, et al vs. Menard Inc., and St. Croix County DHHS vs. Michael D.

Before hearing the cases, the court will have a welcome ceremony.

The event is free and open to the public, though it is recommended that attendees make reservations by calling the court at 608-266-1298 or emailing program assistant Sarah Foster, [email protected].

Lancaster is the 27th location where the court has held oral arguments outside of Madison since the program was founded in 1993.
