WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) — A former Lincoln County sheriff’s deputy accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl has pleaded not guilty to charges against him.
Daily Herald Media reports 34-year-old Zachary Dorr entered his plea Monday on charges including second-degree assault of a child. He resigned from his position in May following his arrest.
A report from the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department says Dorr took the girl to the May 9 wedding reception of two other deputies, and was seen kissing the girl and giving her beer. According to a criminal complaint, Dorr told co-workers that he took a 21-year-old woman who resembled the girl.
The complaint says the girl told police she was with Dorr at the wedding and that they haven’t had sex, but exchanged nude photos.
A message seeking comment was sent to an attorney listed as representing Dorr.
