MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) — An eastern Wisconsin man initially charged with first-degree intentional homicide has been convicted of a reduced charge in his stepson’s stabbing death.
The Manitowoc County Clerk of Courts Office says Jesse Moreno Jr. of Two Rivers pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree reckless homicide.
WLUK-TV reports Moreno stabbed his stepson, 34-year-old Koyoko Perry, last April during an argument over family and money.
Perry tried to drive away from the crime scene but crashed into two other vehicles in a driveway. He later died at a hospital.
He faces up to 25 years in prison when he’s sentenced on June 12.
