A Madison entertainer has been ordered to pay attorney’s fees and costs in a suit she brought against her former auto insurance carrier for a 2008 accident.

The order adds another chunk of change that Conrad, who performs as “The Banana Lady,” owes. She, along with and cartoonist Rodney Rigsby and artist Quincy Neri, have had more than $150,000 in judgments against them in the past six years.

According to the order filed Monday, Conrad must pay $12,466.30 to Amica Mutual Insurance Co. That is the full amount Amica Mutual Insurance Co. asked for in its affidavit filed Feb. 13. The affidavit included 18 pages detailing the legal fees and costs Amica incurred from July 18, 2014 to Feb. 9.

Conrad filed a pro se lawsuit July 14, claiming she was injured in a June 2008 car crash that involved Curt Neuhauser and three others.

She settled with Neuhauser’s insurance company but sued Amica Mutual Insurance Co., her auto insurance company at the time of the accident.

Amica denied Conrad’s claims and made a motion for summary judgment Sept. 9, which Judge Amy Smith granted on Jan. 28. Conrad filed an objection Feb. 10. It was rejected Feb. 12.

“… Plaintiff simply rehashes her complaints about her party opponents and the Court’s rulings,” Smith wrote in the order denying Conrad’s objection, “and adds nothing new to the discussion.”
