Attorney General Brad Schimel has appointed a new assistant deputy attorney general for the state Department of Justice.

Delanie Breuer, according to a news release, is expected to begin her new duties with the DOJ within the next month.

Breuer has been executive assistant to Commissioner Ellen Nowak at the Public Service Commission since 2011, according to the release. She provided counsel on legal and policy matters. Breuer also worked as a drilling engineer on a deep-water drilling rig, and a pipeline and refinery engineer, according to a news release.

She earned her mechanical engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
