Success is in the details for Fritche

With more than 30 years of experience as a legal secretary/assistant, Fritche has reported to firm owner Michelle Fitzgerald since 2005. She also supports the other four attorneys in the office.

Fitzgerald called Fritche’s work “flawless,” saying that her attention to detail has saved her many times.

Fritche said she is most comfortable in the areas of family law, probate, real estate and estate planning. She loves being able to assist clients and respond to their questions without having to interrupt the attorneys.

“I pride myself in being given a file or project and working through it, start to finish, with little direction,” she said. “It makes me feel that the firm is benefitting from my experience.”

Fritche began her career at a manufacturing firm working in order entry and then customer service. Eventually, she became a sales secretary and later executive secretary to the firm’s chief financial officer.

Since then, Fritche has held the title of executive secretary to vice presidents in sales and marketing at a large print company and was the executive assistant for the owner of five Pick ‘n Save stores.

She began her legal career in 1990, with Hartford-based Smith & Sarafiny, working directly with attorney George Smith, where she spent 15 years “learning by doing,” she said.

Fritche credits Smith and Fitzgerald for believing in her throughout her career.

“I have learned so much from them and thank them both for their knowledge, encouragement and friendship,” she said. “I take great pride in receiving compliments, letters and emails from happy, satisfied clients.”
