MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Milwaukee man who prosecutors say was seeking revenge for his sister’s beating has been convicted of killing her boyfriend in a drive-by shooting.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports a jury found 22-year-old Dominique Wilder guilty of first-degree reckless homicide as party to a crime on Thursday. He faces up to 40 years in prison when he’s sentenced in December.

Prosecutors say Wilder went looking for 25-year-old Erick Perry after he allegedly beat Wilder’s sister. They say Wilder drove a vehicle as his passenger fired multiple shots at Perry’s car, killing Perry.

Wilder’s attorney argued that the prosecution’s best witnesses were not credible. Wilder was acquitted of being a felon in possession of a gun.

Investigators are working on a case against the suspected shooter, who hasn’t been charged.
