The Rusk County district attorney has been appointed to be the top prosecutor in Dunn County, according to a news release Friday from Gov. Scott Walker’s office.

Andrea Nodolf will replace former Dunn County DA James Peterson, who was elected as a judge in April.

Walker appointed Nodolf to be Rusk County’s DA in 2012. She also worked at Kostner – Kostner & Summerfield SC, Bloomer, and worked as a part-time prosecutor during two of those years.

Nodolf graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minn., in 2007.

Walker’s office is now accepting applications to replace Nodolf. The appointed prosecutor will have to run for election in November 2016.

Application information can be found at www.walker.wi.gov. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Oct. 31.
