A Fond du Lac prosecutor has been appointed as Green Lake County’s new district attorney.
Andrew Christenson was appointed by Gov. Scott Walker on Thursday to replace DA Kyle Sargent, who stepped down in June. Sargent, who was appointed by Walker in 2011, now works at the Outagamie County DA’s office.
According to a news release from Walker’s office, Christenson has worked at the Fond du Lac DA’s office since 2008. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University (Ohio) School of Law in 2007.
Christenson, if he wants to continue to serve as DA, will have to run for election in November 2016.
