John Kassner and Ronald Trachtenberg joined von Briesen & Roper SC, Milwaukee, as shareholders.

Kassner focuses his practice in the areas of eminent domain, takings, land use, environmental, constitutional, condominium and construction law, with an emphasis on litigation and appellate work. He earned his law degree in 1972 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Trachtenberg concentrates his practice in real estate development, land use, real estate, condominium, municipal, commercial and business law. He earned his law degree in 1976 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Kaitlyn Reise joined Falk Legal Group LLC, Milwaukee, as an associate. Reise’s practice will focus on insurance law, with an emphasis on subrogation and commercial litigation. She earned her law degree in 2014 from Marquette University Law School.

Holly Wilson joined Stafford Rosenbaum LLP, Madison, as an associate. Wilson earned her law degree in 2014 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Ryan Blay, an attorney with Lakelaw in Kenosha, successfully completed the American Board of Certification’s requirements for national certification in consumer bankruptcy law. He earned his law degree in 2006 from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Lakelaw is a Waukegan, Ill.-based firm specializing in consumer and business bankruptcy, mortgage foreclosure defense and consumer law. Lakelaw also offices in Milwaukee, Kenosha and Chicago.

• Jack Enea of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC, Milwaukee, joined Philip Halley as co-leader of the firm’s trusts and estates team. Enea focuses his practice on business and tax law, estate planning, estate administration, and real estate transactions and development. Enea earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School.

• Eric Hobbs, a partner at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, Milwaukee, was elected a fellow of the Annapolis, Md. College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Hobbs’s practice focuses on labor and employment, with an emphasis on employment counseling, worker’s compensation and employment discrimination litigation. He earned his law degree in 1985 from Cornell Law School.

• Grant Killoran of O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong & Laing SC, Milwaukee, was elected by the State Bar of Wisconsin to serve a two-year term as one of its five delegates to the American Bar Association House of Delegates. The House of Delegates is the policy-making body of the ABA. Killoran previously served as a delegate from 1997-99 and 2003-09. He is a shareholder with and the chair of O’Neil’s litigation practice group. He earned his law degree in 1989 from the University of Minnesota Law School.

• Kathy Nusslock, a shareholder at Davis & Kuelthau SC, Milwaukee, was appointed the firm’s chief operating officer. She will work in conjunction with the board of directors and be responsible for overall management of the firm’s operations. Nusslock joined the firm’s litigation team in 1998 and since then served in a variety of management roles including litigation team head, employment litigation practice chair, director on the firm’s board, member of the shareholder development committee and pro bono coordinator. She earned her law degree in 1985 from Marquette University Law School.

Peter Wilder of Godfrey & Kahn SC, Milwaukee, was appointed to the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association Board of Directors for a two-year term. Wilder is a member of the firm’s banking and financial institutions practice group. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.

Sarah Ponath opened The Law Offices of Sarah A. Ponath LLC, at 4779 N. 126th St., Butler. She previously kept an office in Brookfield. She earned her law degree in 2007 from Marquette University Law School.
