Walker looking to fill Hassin’s bench seat

A Waukesha County circuit judge is retiring, and Gov. Scott Walker’s office is accepting applications to fill the seat.

Judge Donald Hassin Jr. will resign Sept. 30. His replacement will have to run for election in April 2015.

Hassin was appointed by former Gov. Tommy Thompson in 1994. He last won an election in April 2013.

Those interested in applying can find information on Walker’s website. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. July 24.
