Gov. Scott Walker is seeking applicants to fill the seat of a Jackson County judge who is stepping down.
Judge Thomas Lister, who was appointed by Gov. Jim Doyle in 2008 and elected in 2009, will vacate his seat Aug. 1. His term was set to expire in 2015.
According to a news release from Walker’s office, the judge appointed to replace him will serve until April 2015, and that person would have to run for their next term.
Those interested in applying can find information on Walker’s website. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. May 26.
