Who’s Doing What: Dennehy named to review board; attorneys catch on with firms

Daniel Dennehy of von Briesen & Roper SC, Milwaukee, was nominated by Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele to become a member of the five-person Milwaukee County Personnel Review Board. Dennehy’s nomination was unanimously approved by the Milwaukee County Board’s Finance, Personnel and Audit Committee and, ultimately, by the full County Board. Dennehy then was elected chairperson of the Personnel Review Board, which conducts hearings for Milwaukee County employees who grieve their suspensions or discharges.

Laurie Meyer joined Davis & Kuelthau SC’s labor and employment team as a shareholder in its Milwaukee office. Meyer focuses on employment law. She investigates and defends claims alleging all types of discrimination as well as harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and denial of medical leave or disability accommodations. She earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School.

Tom O’Day joined Phillips Borowski SC, Mequon. O’Day comes to the firm with more than eight years of practice in employment and general business law. His practice involves advising and representing both private and public employers in every aspect of labor and employment law. He earned his law degree in 2005 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Richard Pitzner joined DeWitt Ross & Stevens SC, Madison. Pitzner has more than 40 years of experience advising clients in the areas of business law, taxation and estate planning. He earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Amanda Reese joined the Madison office of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP as a partner in the firm’s transactional practice group, focusing on health law and privacy matters. She earned her law degree from the Northern Illinois University College of Law.

Michael Rossmiller joined the Milwaukee office of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP as a patent engineer in the firm’s intellectual property practice group. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013. He also earned a certificate for biology in engineering.

James Schleicher joined Quarles & Brady LLP’s Milwaukee office as an associate in the intellectual property practice group. Schleicher is a patent practitioner who has guided numerous U.S. patent applications to allowance and advises on patent validity, infringement, freedom-to-operate, invention patentability and technology landscape. He earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
