James DeJong

James DeJong, president of the Milwaukee law firm O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong & Laing SC, Milwaukee, will be inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society during a ceremony at Carroll University in April. DeJong is 1973 Carroll University graduate and a 1978 Marquette University Law School graduate. Founded in 1897, the society was created to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others.

Laurna Jozwiak was promoted to shareholder at Fox, O’Neill & Shannon SC. She concentrates her practice in the areas of business, trademark and family law. She earned her law degree in 2009 from Marquette University Law School.

Kanavas and his team provide a full range of services, including public policy strategy, lobbying, and public relations support of businesses navigating their relationship with federal, state and local governments. Teresa Kobelt joined the law firm of Neider & Boucher SC, Madison. Kobelt brings more than 25 years of legal experience to the firm, focusing her practice on business litigation and transactional work. She earned her law degree in 1988 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Laurie McLeRoy
Laurie McLeRoy

• Laurie McLeRoy and Geoffrey Trotier joined von Briesen & Roper SC, Milwaukee.

McLeRoy is a shareholder in the litigation and risk management practice group and practices in the firm’s Milwaukee office. She focuses on medical malpractice and products liability, with particular expertise in asbestos litigation and premises liability. She earned her law degree in 1987 from Marquette University Law School.

Trotier is a shareholder in the labor and employment law section and practices in the firm’s Milwaukee office. He assists businesses of all sizes, as well as municipalities and school districts. He earned his law degree in 2003 from the University of Minnesota Law School.

• Maria Rivera-Lupu joined Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC’s litigation practice group in the firm’s Madison office. She is a member of the business and commercial litigation, corporate compliance and white collar defense, and health care law teams. She focuses on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, corporate compliance and complex civil litigation. Rivera-Lupu earned her law degree from The University of Michigan Law School.
