Who’s Doing What: Judge Adelman wins watchdog award; Collins joins Stafford Rosenbaum

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman was named the 2013 recipient of the Distinguished Wisconsin Watchdog Award. The award will be presented April 24 by the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council and the Madison Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

Paul Heaton of Godfrey & Kahn SC, Milwaukee, was named a 2013 BTI Client Service All-Star. BTI Client Service All-Stars are nominated by clients for the distinction. Heaton is a shareholder in the firm’s litigation practice group. He focuses on a wide variety of commercial disputes, with an emphasis on serving clients in the insurance and financial services industry. Heaton earned his degree from Marquette University Law School.

David Peterson

David Peterson was named Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren SC’s 2012 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year. Peterson was honored during a luncheon at Reinhart’s Milwaukee office, where the firm also announced the creation of a program to match individual Reinhart attorney donations to benefit the Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund. Peterson, a shareholder in Reinhart’s litigation practice, is based in the firm’s Waukesha office. Reinhart recognized Peterson for his work with the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin, the Potawatomi Area Council and Boy Scouts of America.

Patrick Coffey and Michael Dahm joined Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC, Milwaukee. 
Coffey will lead the firm’s newly formed corporate compliance and white collar defense team, part of the litigation practice group. Coffey earned his degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He will work out of the firm’s Milwaukee office as well as a Chicago location to counsel WHD’s growing client base in Illinois and the surrounding areas.

Dahm joined the firm’s corporate practice group. He has experience in private investment fund management, including guidance to SEC registered investment advisers, privately negotiated transactions, capital markets trading activities, fund formation and marketing, and investor relations. He earned his degree from Harvard Law School.

Amy Collins joined Stafford Rosenbaum LLP, Madison, as an associate. Collins practices family law and estate planning. She is a December 2012 graduate of University of Wisconsin Law School.

Mark Dahlby joined Hall, Redner, Killian, Heath & Lyman PC, Milwaukee, as an associate. Dahlby counsels health care providers, medical device manufacturers and other life sciences clients on a variety of FDA matters, compliance audits, development of policies and procedures, government investigations and structuring of related transactions. He earned his degree at the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Pagette Fischer joined Davis & Kuelthau SC, Milwaukee, as the director of marketing and business development. Fischer has more than 10 years of experience in the legal industry with seven years of focus on marketing and business development. She also serves as co-chairwoman of programs for the Legal Marketing Association’s Milwaukee City Group.

Neal Krokosky joined Weiss Berzowski Brady LLP, Milwaukee, as an associate. His practice centers around commercial and employment litigation matters, although his previous experience in trial court is varied. He earned his degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2009.

Kathryn Muldoon joined Quarles & Brady LLP’s Milwaukee office as an attorney in the trusts and estates practice group. She earned her degree from Boston University School of Law.
