MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Pat Roggensack has advanced from a three-way primary to the April general election.

Roggensack easily topped challengers Ed Fallone and Vince Megna in Tuesday’s primary, rolling up a nearly 3-to-1 margin on Fallone. Fallone was leading Megna by about 15,000 votes for the second spot in the April 2 election with about one-fourth of the unofficial vote counted.

Roggensack is finishing her first 10-year term on the court. She has argued that her 17 years of experience as a judge make her the best-qualified candidate in the race.

Fallone is a Marquette University law professor and Megna is a consumer law attorney in Milwaukee. Neither has worked as a judge, but they say they bring valuable other experiences to the race.
