Who’s Doing What: Promotions, honors at a number of firms

AWARDS & HONORS

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin named Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP, Milwaukee, its Outstanding 2012 Corporation of the Year. The recognition was based on the firm’s leadership and years of pro bono legal counsel to the HCCW and minority business communities throughout the region. The award presentation was Jan. 19 at the Potawatomi Expo Center in Milwaukee.

ON THE RISE

Brandon Derry was named a shareholder at Hupy and Abraham SC, Milwaukee. Derry joined the firm in 2007 and works out of the Madison office. He earned his law degree from the University of Minnesota in 2002.

Paul Heaton, Maria Kreiter and John Reichert were elected shareholders at Godfrey & Kahn, SC, Milwaukee.

Heaton is a shareholder in the firm’s litigation practice group. He focuses on a wide variety of commercial disputes, with an emphasis on serving clients in the insurance and financial services industry. Heaton earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School.

Kreiter also is a shareholder in the firm’s litigation practice group. She focuses on complex business litigation, primarily in the areas of banking and financial services, business torts, contracts, corporate governance, consumer claims, and white collar defense and internal investigations. Kreiter earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School.

Reichert is a shareholder in the firm’s banking and financial institutions practice group. He focuses on corporate governance, capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, asset sales and purchases, regulatory and compliance matters, commercial lending transactions and general securities matters. Reichert earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School.

Richard Donner, Rebecca Greene, Robert Habich, Jessica King, Adam Konrad and Justin Oeth were named shareholders at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren SC, Milwaukee.

Donner is a shareholder in the firm’s real estate practice and is based in the Milwaukee office. His practice focuses on government relations, zoning, land use, property tax, eminent domain and other aspects of real estate development. Donner earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Greene is a shareholder in the firm’s employee benefits practice. She counsels corporate and multi-employer plan clients on every aspect of plan design and administration for retirement plans, health benefit plans and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements.

Greene earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Habich, based in Reinhart’s Waukesha office, is a shareholder in the firm’s real estate practice. He serves a wide range of clients including property developers, commercial and industrial landlords or tenants, lenders and individual and corporate investors. Habich earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School.

King is a shareholder in the firm’s trusts and estates and international practices, based in Reinhart’s Milwaukee office. She serves the estate planning needs of closely held business owners, executives and professionals. King earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Konrad is a shareholder in Reinhart’s business law, international and tax practices. Based in the firm’s Milwaukee office, he advises foreign and domestic companies, private equity investors and entrepreneurs on mergers and acquisitions and international tax matters. Konrad earned his law degree from Cornell Law School.

Oeth, based in Reinhart’s Madison office, is a shareholder in the firm’s real estate practice. He focuses on leasing, new markets tax credit transactions, construction, sales and acquisitions, financing and other aspects of real estate development. Oeth earned his law degree from the Ohio State University Law School.
