Wisconsin Supreme Court justices voted to accept review of 11 new cases, the court announced Wednesday.
Several of the cases are criminal in nature. Other cases present questions on involuntary commitment, the competency standard in the context of mental health treatment, the authority of circuit and municipal courts, sovereign immunity and insurance.
The court denied review of 100 cases.
Accepted cases come from Milwaukee, Waukesha, Outagamie, Brown, Racine, Manitowoc and Winnebago counties.
