Who’s Doing What: DeWitt Ross & Stevens makes additions; Kreiter joins MBA’s board

Shannon Buttchen and Danielle Wampole joined the Madison office of DeWitt Ross & Stevens SC as associates. Wampole and Buttchen previously worked as summer clerks at DeWitt. Both joined the firm’s litigation practice group and earned their law degrees from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Drew Cochrane, a partner in Stafford Rosenbaum LLP’s Madison office, was elected to the firm’s board of directors. Cochrane’s practice focuses on labor and employment law, as well as general business and commercial litigation. He earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1999.

Maria Kreiter of Godfrey & Kahn SC was appointed by the Milwaukee Bar Association Foundation to its board of directors.

Kreiter is a member of the litigation practice group at the firm’s Milwaukee office. Her practice focuses on complex business litigation, primarily in the areas of banking and financial services, business torts, contracts, corporate governance, consumer claims, and white collar defense and internal investigations. Kreiter earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School.

Sarah Matt joined the litigation group of O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong & Laing SC, Milwaukee. She will assist clients with civil litigation matters, primarily in the areas of commercial and business litigation. Matt graduated from Marquette University Law School.

John Skilton, managing partner of Perkins Coie LLP’s Madison office, was elected by the ABA House of Delegates to the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association for a three-year term.

Skilton has been appointed by the ABA president to serve as the board’s liaison to the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, to the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility and to the Commission on Ethics 20/20. Skilton also recently became a Life Member of the American Law Institute in recognition of his 25 years of service as a member of the ALI. He is a 1969 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School.

David Trautschold of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, Milwaukee, was promoted to intellectual property associate in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Prior to receiving his law degree, Trautschold worked as a patent engineer at Michael Best, with a focus on mechanical technologies. His experience extends to wireless timing and messaging systems as well as banking and insurance transactions. Trautschold earned his law degree in 2012 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
