WHO’S DOING WHAT: New hire at Maistelman & Associates and a series of honors

Nathaniel Cade Jr., of Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP, Milwaukee, was named to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s 2012 Fellows Program. Fellow members include general counsel and managing partners from top law firms and in-house legal departments across the country.

Cade’s practice includes product and professional liability, complex commercial litigation, construction law, insurance defense matters, patent litigation and legal ethics. He earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.

Daniels

John Daniels Jr., chairman of Quarles & Brady LLP, Milwaukee, received the Friend of the University Award from the Marquette University Alumni Association. The award recognizes distinguished leadership and/or service to Marquette University by a nonalumnus/alumna. Daniels was selected due to his work as a dependable supporter of Marquette’s Urban Scholars Program, which provides 10 full-tuition awards to academically promising students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Milwaukee-area high schools and Cristo Rey High School in Chicago. Daniels earned his law degree from Harvard University in 1974.

Jeff Goldman, of DeWitt Ross & Stevens SC, Madison, was elected to the board of the Madison Estate Council. The council is made up of professionals representing four general disciplines: estate planning attorneys, trust/fiduciaries, CPA’s/accountants and insurance advisors. Goldman practices in DeWitt’s Trust & Estates and Litigation practice groups. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Dennis Krueger joined Maistelman & Associates LLC, Milwaukee. He most recently worked as the assistant attorney general for the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Criminal Litigation Unit and has extensive experience in the Waukesha District Attorney’s office. He earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1987.

The Greater Milwaukee Association of Legal Professionals announced the election of its 2012-‘13 chapter offices: Joni Jakubowski, of The Schroeder Group SC, Attorneys at Law, Waukesha, as president; Mary Burns, of Major League Baseball, Office of the Commissioner, as treasurer and executive secretary; Melody Sanders, of Foley & Lardner LLP, Milwaukee, as membership director; Bernice Tresemer, of Cramer, Multhauf & Hammes LLP, Waukesha, as corresponding secretary; and Maureen Gromacki, of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., as parliamentarian.
