The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Friday suspended the law license of Jackson attorney Arik Guenther for 90 days.

Since being admitted to practice in 1981, Guenther has received three private reprimands, one public reprimand and two suspensions.

His license is currently suspended in Wisconsin.

In its order, the court imposed an additional 90-day suspension in connection with a 2007 domestic violence incident between Guenther and his then-wife.

Guenther pled no contest and posted bond with conditions that the attorney maintain absolute sobriety and have no violent contact with the woman.

Guenther failed to comply with either condition, according to the order.

He was convicted of disorderly conduct in 2009, and in 2010, Guenther pled guilty to drunken driving in Washington County.

The incidents lead to an 11-count disciplinary complaint filed by the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation on May 13.

The court ordered Guenther to pay $1,116.04 for costs of the disciplinary proceeding and required him to submit to random alcohol and substance abuse testing.
