Waukesha attorney Jennifer Dorow is the new Branch 2 Judge in the Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Gov. Scott Walker appointed Dorow on Friday. She succeeds Judge Mark Gundrum, who Walker appointed to the District 2 Court of Appeals in November.

Dorow was one of four candidates registered with the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board to run for the vacant Branch 2 seat in spring 2012.

She practiced criminal law at Huppertz & Dorow SC in Waukesha and also served as an assistant district attorney in Waukesha County.

Dorow will need to run again for a full six-year term in the spring.

The other candidates for the Branch 2 seat were Cheryl Gemignani of Phillips & Gemignani, Waukesha; Michael Maxwell of Maxwell Attorneys LLC, Milwaukee; and Steve Wimmer of Wimmer & Coon, Waukesha.
